Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-10-23
- Acceptance: by using the Malaz Gold app, operated by Malaz for Jewellery LLC (the "company"), you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. The terms are shown when you create your account and we record your acceptance.
- Eligibility: you must be at least 21, provide accurate information and complete identity verification before topping up, withdrawing, buying or selling. One account per person, used only for yourself.
- Your account and security: you are responsible for keeping your password and PIN secret and for all activity on your account. The company will never ask you for your PIN or a verification code. If you suspect unauthorised use you can freeze your account immediately in the app and tell us; the freeze is lifted by support after verifying your identity.
- Wallet: top-ups are transfers from an account in your name to the company accounts shown in the app and are credited after the receipt is reviewed, subject to the minimum shown. Withdrawals are paid, after review, to the payout details you enter, within the window shown in the app; you are responsible for their accuracy. The cash balance in the wallet is not a bank deposit and earns no return.
- Prices and orders: prices are set by the company, shown in the app and change during the day; orders are accepted during the buying and selling hours shown. Orders within the instant-execution limits shown execute immediately at the price you confirmed; if the price changes before you confirm, you are asked to confirm again. Larger orders are subject to review and acceptance and execute at the price at acceptance time with the fee shown when the order was placed; the company may propose an adjusted amount or price, which you confirm within the stated window, otherwise the proposal lapses and any reserved amount is released.
- Gold and silver balances: your balance is the quantity in grams recorded in your name with the company; you can sell it to the company at the displayed sell price during buying and selling hours or gift it to another user. When the company enables physical redemption you may ask to receive part of your balance as a bar of one of the available weights, collected from the company's branch or delivered; the bar's grams and the manufacturing fee (plus the shipping fee for delivery) are deducted from your account when you request it and refunded in full if the company cancels the request. A 21-karat bar is deducted as its fine-gold equivalent (for example 8 g of 21K = 7 g of fine gold). Your national ID must be shown when collecting from the branch.
- Automatic services: automatic savings plans and target-price orders run automatically when due or when the target price is met, at the price displayed at that moment, within the instant-execution limits and your available balance; if the balance is insufficient or the order exceeds the limits, the run is skipped and you are notified. You can pause or delete these services at any time. Price alerts are informational only and never execute a transaction. The company may enable or withdraw these features.
- Gifts: you can gift part of your balance to another verified user by their phone number or email, within the quantities shown. A gift executes immediately and cannot be reversed; you are responsible for checking the recipient's details before confirming.
- Referral programme: when enabled, rewards are granted under the conditions shown in the app after the invited friend's first executed purchase. The company may change or stop the programme and cancel rewards where abuse is suspected.
- Fees: the company's fee is a percentage of each buy or sell order, shown before you confirm and fixed for that order when it is placed. The company charges no fee on top-ups or withdrawals; your bank or payment provider may charge its own.
- Risk: gold and silver prices move and your holdings may lose value, and the difference between the buy and sell price means that selling immediately after buying results in a loss. Nothing in the service is investment advice; Malaz is neither a bank nor an investment fund.
- Compliance: the company may request additional documents or proof of the source of funds, suspend the account or refuse transactions to comply with anti-money-laundering laws or when abuse is suspected.
- Closing your account: you can delete your account in the app once your balance is withdrawn, your metals sold and no request is pending; transaction records are kept as the law requires. The company may suspend accounts that breach these terms, settling any balance due to you in accordance with the law.
- Liability: to the extent permitted by law, the company is not liable for indirect damages or for outages beyond its control, and does not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
- Changes: we may change these terms and will notify you in the app before they take effect.
- Governing law: these terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt; the courts of Alexandria have jurisdiction.
